The only way of identifying and quantifying the impact of a substance on the consumer that is recognised today by the regulatory agencies is by evaluating the effects of that product on cellular models and defining the AOPs (adverse outcome pathways), which can be likened to \u2018cards\u2019 representing mechanisms of toxicity by identifying the molecular players involved in the various cellular signalling pathways. This is why this research project on selective cell suppression is so important.<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; header_2_font=&#8221;Comfortaa|700|||||||&#8221; header_2_line_height=&#8221;1.2em&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<h2>Qualifying with certainty the metabolisation of active ingredients and compounds in cosmetic formulations\n<\/h2>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; text_font_size=&#8221;15px&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<p>The use of these chemically \u2018knocked out\u2019 (KO) biological systems will allow us to determine the target\u2019s involvement in a metabolic pathway and the likelihood of it activating a cellular signalling pathway that could present a risk to the consumer\u2019s health.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cosmetosciences.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/metabolisation-actifs-composant-cosmetique.jpg\" alt=\"Qualifying the metabolisation of active substances and ingredients in cosmetics\" class=\"wp-image-753 alignright size-full\" width=\"300\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cosmetosciences.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/metabolisation-actifs-composant-cosmetique.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cosmetosciences.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/metabolisation-actifs-composant-cosmetique-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>This KO status will be obtained via the design and validation of PROTACs (proteolysis targeting chimera) for the targets in question.<br>These models will also allow us to characterise known ingredients and formulations by substantiating\/characterising their toxicological profile, which will make it possible to predict any interactions between the ingredients of a formula.<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_3&#8243;
