They cover a set of applications that mainly fall within engineering for energy, electronics, biology, decontamination, metrology, the flow modification and aviation safety.<br \/>\nThe research is of a fundamental nature and is applied in a spirit of \u2018understanding to design\u2019 in order to rise to societal challenges.
